Just Say No

Rocket Records

This March is one of those months full of much anticipated releases, it might be Jesus and The Mary Chain releasing their first album in nearly two decades or GNOD’s new album, ‘Just Say No To The Psycho Right-Wing Capitalist Fascist Industrial Death Machine‘, a fitting title from Salford’s own in these times. I’ll bet in a few years time though it’ll be the later album that will be seen as highly significant, should Bodies for Money is anything to go by, a track full of riff-sustained venom, as much punk as it is psych rock.

“2016 is just the beginning of what I see as the establishment’s systematic destruction of liberalism and equality as a reaction to the general public’s loss of faith in their system” Chris Haslam – GNOD

There are few other bands around that are capturing the current climate so readily as GNOD, and as the world becomes more fucked with each passing White House press conference they seem ideally placed to carry on translating what so many feel to sound.

‘Just Say No’ failed for Nancy, it might just work better for Chris.
