So there we all were, wide awake on Sunday 9th October with 5 computer screens (plus our old gameboy) open. Perhaps the first time we’ve woke up that early since Christmas. The clock ticked fast, minutes flew by like they were seconds and the 9am sale time approached hauntingly. We hastily buzzed all our mates to share and check our registrations, so that if any one person got in then we all got a ticket. But suddenly the gun went off! 9AM! we prayed that our siblings weren’t torrenting Pepper Pig, and that all our Macs didn’t upgrade to Sierra for the fun of it. It was overwhelming, the screens on our mobiles, tablets, pc, tv and microwave were all firing off blanks. Who’s even playing next year? we didn’t care, this is the big one! take our money! take our babies! Not now Yahoo News!!! Kim Kardashians eating Red Fruits Müller Rice?! Then suddenly it was all over.. back to bed till June 21st 2017.
For those of us lucky enough to get a golden ticket to Worthy Farm be sure to get some good wellies for next year! Glastonbury is the largest greenfield festival in the world, it truly is an epic annual five-day festival of contemporary performing arts. There are literally more acts than we can name before next June arrives and since 1970 it has epitomised free love and counter cultural movements.
If you have your heart set then don’t forget there is a re-sale in April! But why not mention to your mates that there are hundreds of other gigs, which will give you less of a heart attack trying to get a ticket for. You’ll probably even have more spare beer money left over.
There are literally thousands of festivals every year, how about the beautiful Love saves the Day in Bristol? It’s an event a bit earlier in the summer, but still in the lovely West Country.

We are FSTVL – Upminster, Greater London – Saturday 27th to Sunday 28th May 2017
